Our Story
We believe our story begins in God's story. In God's story, the Bible, we find we were made with great vision and loving forethought. Though each of us has rebelled against God's love and leadership, God has seen fit to create reconciliation with all creation through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus, the Christ.
We are seeking to live as ambassadors of that reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19-20), and it is for this reason The Gallery was born.The Gallery's birth was a result of a partnership between Crossroads Church in Woodbury, MN and the Evangelical Covenant Church.
The Gallery Covenant Church is a community of people coming to Christ, finding their identity in Christ, reconciling with each other and participating with God in the restoration of His creation.
RECONCILIATION
The reconciling work of Jesus informs our very existence. Because God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, we seek to live out that reconciliation with God, ourselves, others, and the created order.
COMMUNITY
The reconciling work of Jesus brings God and people together as a reflection of the Father, Son and Spirit. We seek to live in the unity intended by God from the beginning.
MISSIONAL
The Church exists for the world and not for herself; therefore, we seek to serve those around us in the manner of Christ through word and deed as an expression of God’s love for all humanity.
MULTI-ETHNIC
The reconciling work of Christ knows no inequality between gender or race; therefore, we seek to be a community of racial and gender reconciliation.
CREATIVE
The image of our creator God has been placed within us. Therefore, we seek to give voice to the creativity implanted within us, and we seek to use that creativity for His glory in our daily lives and in our worship gatherings.
HOLISTIC
The good news of God’s kingdom impacts every area of a person's life and culture. We reject unfounded categories that divide the world into uniquely sacred or purely secular. God is redeeming all of creation through Jesus.
